message about "Unable to load Bespoke events '.',... and my devices are no longer recognized

After adding a GF-46 to my P-8, I used GIT to set up the GF-46 in a first configuration as an XPDR with the stock C172SP. All worked well with X-Plane. Later, upon restarting the computer and GIT and X-Plane 11, I got the message in the attached image file. GIT detects the two modules, but I cannot open the tabs for either to set anything and both devices do nothing. No lights or responses. Interesting in that I do not user Bespoke events. Just the standard X-Plane C172SP functions. How can I fix this? How can I also get rid of all references to Bespoke events?imageimage

  • The files have got corrupt. If you do not use Bespoke Events then you can delete Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool\BespokeEventsXPlane.xml. If that doesn't help, delete all the files and restore from a backup.

Note that a backup of your files is automatically taken and stored in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool\Backup so you may want to take a copy of these before doing anything else.

  • I will try that. If the backup files are also corrupted, as there may have been a backup when I exited, do I just uninstall all and reinstall the plugin and GIT and use a printout of the settings to guide me in reconfiguring the P8 and GF-46? I ask this because a quick look at the seetings in the main file and the .bak look the same. Thanks.
  • You can delete the Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool directory and GIT will start clean with no configs.
  • Thanks.
  • I followed your directions and the GIT seemed to work and I reconfigured the two modules and all worked. But when I shut down the machine and later restarted, I got the following message in the attached graphic. I completely uninstalled all of the GIT stuff, GIT and plugin and dumped the stuff in the Documents location. Rebooted. I then downloaded a fresh zip file from your site and did a fresh reinstall. I get the same crash message. I am pretty stuck. See attached.

  • You will need to delete the Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool directory.

  • It seems that in setting up the GIT this last time, it corrupted the ChaseViewDeluxe and Saitek FIP Addon plugins. More than the crash message that I sent to you, X-Plane 11 itself would not restart after I removed the Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool directory. Once I restored those plugins with fresh copies, X-Plane 11 worked again. I will redo the GoFlight Interface Tool configuration and work step by step with backups to see if this happens again. What I am trying to do is add in, one by one, the GoFlight modules P8, GF-46, GF-48, TPM, etc. Even trying one at a time, I am having these corruption issues. Thanks for your quick response.
