mcp-pro is blank with pmdg 747 v3-but works with 373 and 777

Hi
I bought the software last night. it works OK for the pmdg 737 and the 777. Unfortunately the display goes blank when the 747 is loaded-before loading the 747 display shows the dashes.
I have tried fresh boot up,switching from 373 to 747 etc-it does not work with the 747.
I have p3d4 version 4.2.21.24048 and the latest version of the 747.
I look forward to all the help.
Thank you.

  • Hi Qas,

Please see the FAQ entry "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)" here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/41-faq/70-faq.html

  • Hi
    thank you for the reply.
My issue is not listed in FAQ.
I have all 3 pmdg planes. The software works with the 737 and 777.
With the 747,when p3dv4 is loading the mcp-pro shows dashes.
when I select and load the 747 -any version, the display goes off-no dashes or zeros.
I have checked the sdk and it is set to 1.

has anybody else had this issue.

  • The recommendations in the FAQ apply whether the displays are blank, showing dashes or zeros. If you have gone through all the recommendations and it still doesn't work, I would suggest an uninstall and reinstall of the aircraft as this has fixed a similar issue a couple of people have had with the NGX.

There are two version of GIT that will work with P3D. The 32bit one (standard) and the 64bit one. Have you tried both?

  • Hi

None of the above works, however I think I have managed to find a way around the problem.
If I start a flight with the default plane and change to the 747 than the interface works.

my next issue now is how to load the interface automatically on PC startup- at the moment I have to do it manually.

I have tried placing the icon in the startup folder but it does not work.

    Many thanks for help.

    Qas
  • Try adding it to exe.xml so it starts up with P3D.

I have the same Problem with the 747 but only with MCP Pro , the EFIS works , with the 737 works everything. i always start with a default plane and switch to 747. Im using Simstarter NG so GIT start automatically with p3d
