SimConnect: Exception Received: OUT_OF_BOUNDS

I have checked and re-checked my dll.xml file for pointing to the GoFlight Interface Module 32.dll but I continually receive the SimConnect: Exception Received: OUT_OF_BOUNDS error message in the GIT log.

My dll.xml file reads as per the attached file.:

I also did not receive the security warning as per 5) in the installation instructions.
5) Start FSX or Prepar3D and ensure you receive a Microsoft Flight Simulator Security Warning about loading "Goflight Interface Module.dll".

What the heck am I doing wrong?

Thank you for any help or suggestions.

  • Hi Bruce,

These errors are not necessarily a problem. Is GIT working OK. If not what aircraft are you using GIT with/Flight Sim version etc so I can assist.

The GIT is not working. All of the tabs are greyed out except settings, log and status. Detective is greyed out too. My GF modules are showing. I am using the Lear 45 with P3D 4.3.29.25520. I get steady green on status and aircraft (Lear 45 shows). SimConnect will flash green for a moment then goes to steady yellow at which point the log file just churns out a steady "SimConnect: Exception Received: OUT_OF_BOUNDS".
I did change to "GoFlight Interface Module 32.dll" in the path in my xml file

Do I need to have the P3D SDK installed (which I may have installed, I'm at work and can't remember)?

If it matters, I also did not receive the security warning as per 5) in the installation instructions.
    5) Start FSX or Prepar3D and ensure you receive a Microsoft Flight Simulator Security Warning about loading "Goflight Interface Module.dll".

    Thank you.

  • Hi Bruce,

Uninstall GIT and reinstall using the 64Bit version of GIT for P3Dv4.

Thank you, that did the trick! I've actually got one GF-48 button programmed. :)

Okay, now the TQ6 (I think I truly hate that piece of hardware). I go to the TQ6 tab, select Axis, but I can't get any of the axis' to move. I select A6 and move the handle up and down but no joy, it does not register any movement on the vertical sliders in the GIT box. I've assigned Spoiler Arm (I think, again not at home), but the sliders will not register movement and nothing happens on the TQ in the Lear 45 cockpit. I know the TQ6 is working because I can calibrate all axis' via Device and printers, TQ6, Game Controller Settings. I've got all controllers disabled in P3D and I don't have any axis' enabled via FSUIPC.

    Suggestions?

    Thank you again.

    Bruce

  • Do you have the TQ6 ENABLED in GIT?

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Well Steve I'm not sure, I just assumed it was enabled because I have the TQ6 tab though it would seem it is not enabled. How do I enable the TQ6 in GIT. Thank you. Bruce
  • On the TQ6 tab, you pick Device 0 from the combo box (dropdown list) and you then get the option to ENABLE it.

If its already enabled, make sure you are running the latest version of GIT as there was a bug in the Axis assignment on a previous version.

  • I'm making some progress but....
Initially I had all the TQ6 axes unassigned in Win10 Game Controller Settings so I tried assigning spoiler arm to the f axis in Win10 Game Controller Settings and the GIT axis interface woke up. Is that how it's supposed to work? I did not go through the full procedures yet to assign the spoiler in GIT, that will be tomorrow's project.

Two issues cropped up. When I exit the GIT TQ6 tab and come back to it my previous selection of device 0 is not saved; enabled is, and the f axis assigned to spoiler arm is saved in axis config, but when I come back to the TQ6 tab Device 0 is not showing and I must re-select it. The Device 0 selection is not being saved or I am somehow not confirming the save.

Secondly, and most disconcerting, right after the TQ6 f axis started working P3D quit loading and just will not restart. I am dead in the water. My question is does GIT change the settings in the P3D config or xml or ini files and if so, where should I look?

I downloaded and installed the 64 bit GIT two days ago so I'm guessing I've got the latest version.

Any help is appreciated Steve, you've been great.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Bruce,

GIT changes nothing in P3D, but I suspect if you have been configuring the controllers in Windows it has somehow impacted P3D. I would check on their forum as I do remember seeing posts on this subject.

You do need to configure all joystick devices in Windows before using them in GIT.

It can appear that the device is not saved as the device status is not updated in the tab until a device is picked in the combo box - it is actually saved!

    Best wishes
