  • GIT needs to be installed in the same directory as the GoFlight drivers. If you have done this, verify that GFDev.dll exists in the directory.

If that is OK, rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to see if its a corrupt config file.

If none of that helps, please copy and paste the Log tab here.

  • all together are in C:programm files (X86) goflight.
WHere is located the directory where GFDev.dll
  • It should be found in the same directory as GIT and the Goflight drivers.

  • That looks OK!

Try renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and then start GIT. If it still fails, copy and paste the log here.

    Thanks

    GIT.JPG 57.3K
  • If i open FSX before i start GIT the scenario is like this and i can open the log
  • I have not seen that error before in GIT!!

Have you tried renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to something else? You have not said if you have tried this yet!?

Are you using the latest GoFlight drivers as one particular earlier version caused GIT to lock up?

The only other thing it might be is the GIT config settings. Goto C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Pollypot_Software and delete everything in that folder and then try starting GIT again. Note that AppData is a hidden folder so you will need to set Explorer to show hidden files.

What version of GIT are you using? You can find it from the About button in the Settings tab.

It also may be worth removing and reinstalling the GoFlight drivers.

  • GIT is 3.6.1.1
  • Removing and reinstalling the Goflight drivers : i do that 5 or 6times
  • OK. GIT used to work, so what changes have you made to your PC and flight sim?

  • Just update all you system to GF config up to 2.28.0 and GIT up to 3.6.1.1
  • Also 1 months ago i have clean up completly FSX and start again
  • OK, Try the following steps:

    1) Shutdown your flight sim.
    2) Uninstall GIT and the GoFlight Drivers and reinstall both into c:\goflight and NOT into c:\program files (x86)\Goflight
    3) Rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool Old
    4) Goto C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Pollypot_Software and delete everything in that folder
    5) Start GIT. DO NOT start your flight sim and see if the GoFlight LED goes green. If it doesn't, copy and paste the log here for me.

    Thanks

  • I thought it only locked up when flight sim was running? Can you confirm.

Can you go into c:\goflight, right click on GFDev.dll and select Properties, then Details and then report back what the File Version number is that gets shown.

    Thanks
    Steve
  • It locked up everytimes, not specially when FS is running
  • May be it can work with some old version of GF and Pollypot???
  • Having looked into the error message, it appears to be some language/culture translation error when reading in config files. I will need some time to go over the code and find where the culture is not being set to US/English
