Two 46's but only one shows up in GIT P3D V4 64bit 3.6.1.1

Hi Steve,

GIT doesn't seem to want to work with more than one 46. If I bring up GFConfig it detects and can set/update both my 46's. But when I use GIT, it only sees one 46. This is P3D V4 64bit.

Oddly, GIT for XPlane does see both my 46's.

Cheers, Rob.

  • That is very odd as GIT for P3D and X-Plane are compiled from the same solution. The error message also indicates that it did see 2 GF46's, but now only sees one.

I presume, you checked one of the GF46's didn't lock up?

I'll have to run some tests and see what I can find.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve,

Agree on the oddity ... I've rebooted several times but GIT only seems to see one. GFConfig sees both and will allow me to change/set both so I know they aren't "locked up".

Multiple GF46's have caused issues with GIT in the past, where one will lockup and all my work will be lost. No idea why GIT for XPlane 11 sees both and can work with both?

I did re-install the latest versions for both P3D and XP just to make sure that wasn't the cause.

If I were to hazard a guess it's probably related to the USB identifiers ... i.e the VID, PID, REV or MI? Perhaps two devices are found but their uniqueness was not discovered and hence only registered as one device? I haven't checked but are GF modules composite devices (i.e. multiple interfaces)?

The other variable is that I did update to Win10 1809, but I doubt that's related because GFConfig has no issues work with both 46s. So this is definitely something specific to GIT.

    Cheers, Rob.
  • Hi Rob,

Found the problem. I had hard coded the qty in the GF46 class whilst doing some testing and forgot to reset it back - doh!

I'll get an update out tonight.

  • New versions are available to download.
  • Hi Steve,

Excellent, many thanks - Rob .
  • Hi again Steve, very odd, my download count is now 0 for both XP and P3D? They were 25 just a few days ago? Could you please reset so I can download and test your latest versions?

    Cheers, Rob.
  • Using a download manager will hoover up your download count. Reset has been done.

    Best wishes
