2x GF 166
I've seen a few posts about the GF166 radios and I'm having a very hard time getting them to respond with xplane 11. I wanted to use goflight because they had the pedestal and thought that it would keep everything compact. the MESM, TQ6 advanced and T8 are all working perfectly.
I have the GIT plus GF Xplane plugin from here: http://www.xpluginsdk.org/goflight.htm
My thought process was maybe the xplane plugin plus GIT was interfering and not making it possible to work. So I uninstalled the XPlane plugin. I get no lights on the GF166 modules at all. I reinstall the XPlane plugin and change the function for one of the radios to be a com 1 radio and the second radio to be a nav1 radio.
All of the sudden everything works just fine. So I mess with the knobs and dial in frequencies. Then all of the sudden the com one radio locks up but the nav1 radio doesn't display anything. At one point none of my radios were lit up so I went to best buy and got a Powered USB hub thinking maybe they wern't getting enough power.
My current status. Com1 is locked, Nav2 is completely blank. Even if I restart XPlane11 it stays in the same status. Even if I restart GIT nothing else happens. Now my altitude selector and other functions in the MCP Pro aren't working.
I've tried to keep my patients but nothing seems to work. I had everything working with Davids plugin until recently on the MCP Pro.
If it matters i'm on XPlane 11.26 and Zibo 737 3.31f. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They need to be unplugged or the PC restarted because restarting the software won't help as the hardware or device driver locks!
This used to happen to my MCP PRO as well in 2008, but GoFlight updated the firmware and the lockups stopped. I personally think GoFlight need to do a firmware upgrade on the GF166's but no such thing exists as far as I know. However their GF166 test software never causes a lockup, so I think there must have been a workaround developed in their test software which was never included in their SDK which is used in their own drivers software and 3rd party software like GIT.
The only current solution is experimentation using different hubs / port combinations. There are lots of threads in the forum giving various advice on what has worked for people. I suggest you read them all because somethings work for people whilst not for others.
We have all been there and its very frustrating!

Do you know where you can find new firmware upgrade? I thought I found the website on my laptop but then I can't find it anymore. I know it works because there's a guy on youtube (fulltiltedgaming) and he has a full set of radios working with the pollypot software. Super frustrating!
Restarted XPlane 11 and EUREKA! It works just fine. It doesn't lock up on me at all. I just had to test the theory of the GF166's using too much power from USB and that seems to be the case.
How can I do this logically and make everything work? Do I need multiple powered USB hubs? If so that's fine. I just wanted to know that the radio itself and xplane wasn't the problem. I seem to have proven that tonight.
Best wishes

regarding the Radio panels , GF-46 & GF-45
have a check in your registry Mine used to lock up (Windows sends them to sleep) but the displays stay Illuminated (work that out) once you get rid of Enhanced Power management they will work better. I have 10 Panels Plugged into 1 USB hub which includes 1 radio 1 GF-46 and 1 GF-45
