Issues with MCP-Pro using GIT using FSX-SE with Aerosoft Airbus

Hi team, not sure what I may be doing wrong, but having no luck in getting GIT working with Aerosoft Airbus (using Rob's download), I did have it working once, where only the altitude and heading were adjustable in both directions i.e. from the MCP-Pro and via the mouse on screen. Since then at best I have managed to get the 4 main MCP-pro displays in tune with their on-screen counterparts, but the control is only one-way! Changing their values on screen updates on the MCP-Pro but having no luck in getting any of the MCP-Pro knobs to change the FSX values. All seems to be connected ok (3 green lights etc,) and the MCP Pro works fine in all default FSX-SE aircraft. Any thoughts on why this may be? or what settings I should be using to send info from the MCP-pro into the FSX for the heading?, altitude? vertical speed? etc.

Any assistance, greatly apprecaited.

    It could be that the aircraft has been updated and the profile no longer works. I will PM Rob and see if its up to date or not.

    Rob has said there have been several updates to the aircraft since he built that config so it probably no longer works. I will remove it from the website.

    Ok thanks for the information, bad news from my perspective as I bought GIT to allow me to interface the MCP Pro seeing that there was a user config available for the Aerosoft Airbus. I guess there may be a way to manually work out some form of interfacing?

    It can be done. You need to use Detective and modify what Rob has done. Rob has several videos explaining how to use Detective.

    OK thanks, I have now watched the first part and will have a go with detective at getting something basic working and hopefully build up from there.

    Hi, I downloaded the Airbus definitions to use for the MCP and other older modules. I can get it to work partially but the most important parts do not work. The MCP Altitude, Heading, VS Rotaries and the displays. As far as I have checked the LVARs for these functions are listed in the Detective and the scripts use them but they do not get updated and read. It is almost as if there are too many LVars and it ignores them. I checked with FSUIPC Lua and there the same functions with the same LVARS work fine. It does not look as if they have changed the Airbusses much in this regard. I am on P3D v4.4 and Aerosoft Airbusses Pro 1.2.3.0 (but it also did not work on 4.3 and the older 12.x versions of the Airbusses). Thanks

    Interesting. There is a limit of 1500 lvars in GIT. Do you know how may the Airbus has?

    :-) I have not counted them - but the list is long - 1500 well, I don`t think so. I have FSUIPC running at the same time and Linda profiles. This evening I will test if leaving that one out will make a difference...

    actually, I may have spoken too soon. I found an lvars.lst file (is that from GIT by any chance? maybe Linda Tracer...) and it contains 7675 entries many starting with ASC, AB, FMA, ECAM..... So we may actually hit some limit. It would explain why most vars in the detective remain greyed out with 0 as value.

    Good find. I have just checked and its actually 5120 Lvars that can be handled by GIT but its still not enough. I will update GIT to 10000 Lvars and hopefully the Airbus will be working soon.

    It dawned on me this evening that GIT has a hard coded check in it for Lvars. I have updated the code again and uploaded a new version for you to try.

    Can whoever has the Aerosoft Airbus A319,320 and 321 (P3D 4.4 or higher) working with an MCP Pro please upload with their configs? I'm struggling with making this work.. I also have 1 T8, 2 P8s, a LGT and a GF-45. Just trying to wrap my head around this all, I'm not a programmer for sure...
