GIT & P3D V4

Hi Guys,

I use both Xplane & P3D V4. I have purchased GIT for both. Xplane GIT works fine with the GF MCP PRO. P3D GIT freezes on opening and does not recognize the GF MCP. I have to use task manager to close it. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it in various directories without any luck.

Can someone help?

  • update, ive put all the goflight and git files for p3d in one directory. now it doesnt freeze, but when i load an aircraft i get three green lights, with the aircraft indicator blinking green. the MCP does nothing and does not light up.

I've reinstalled the git program a few times, and im super frustrated now. I've followed the instructions for FAQ/ PMDG and everything looks okay.

  • Hi,

You need to follow the steps detailed in the FAQ entry titled "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes or dashes)"

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • I have the same issue on the 747, did you get it resolved?
  • Hi Steve,
I've done all those steps. Additionally turning the knobs has no effect in game as well as the display not showing anything, no zeros or dashes.
  • I'm going to look in to it. I now suspect the PMDG SDK has been changed and this would cause GIT to fail. Bear with me.

    Thx
    Steve
  • It does look like something has gone wrong with P3Dv4 and the 747. FSX, FSXSE and P3Dv3 all work fine with the 747 which is unexpected as usually a problem impacts all the sims. Its not obvious what is wrong. Are you getting OUT OF BOUNDS errors like I am?

    Thx
    Steve
  • I'm not getting any errors, it's just not working at all. PMDG 737 for me.
  • 737 is working fine. I've just tested that. You do have the MCP PRO enabled in GIT?
  • Mine is enabled in GIT...Chris
  • Just to make sure I'm not missing anything where is that option?
  • MCP PRO tab. Pick the device form the dropdown and make sure it says ENABLED.
  • okay i did that its working now. Thank you (now i have a xp issue) but we will make another thread :P
  • Did you connect to 747?
