Can not get my MCPPRO to work

I have had the MCPPRO for a number of years and have never had any real problems with it however i now have a big problem, i can not get it to work. I have downloaded the latest interface tool P3D 64 BIT and when i fire it up everything is greyed out and i can not move or close the interface tool, i have to shut it down via the task manager. I have lines across all of the the dials on the actual hardware and am now getting pretty frustrated as i do not know what else to do, any help woul;d be appreciated

  • What has changed on your system? Can you roll back? If not, make sure you have latest version of GIT and the GoFlight drivers. Make sure they are installed into the same directory as GIT needs access to GfDev.dll from the drivers. If that makes no difference, it may be a corrupt settings file. Try renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so GIT starts clean.

  • I have the EFIS working but nothing else after trying everything you have said
  • Still have dotted lines across all display
  • I have now the 787 working using a profile, are there any PMDG profiles i could use?
  • Have you ENABLED the MCP PRO in GIT?
  • Yes I have

Do the controls work on the MCP PRO? It is just the displays not working? Is GIT still locking up?
  • So to context everything works fine in X Plane so I know its not a hardware problem. It works in Prepr3D in the quality wings however only the EFIS works in any of the PMDG aircraft. The MCP starts off with dashes on the display however when i go into settings on the GITand enable the dashes dissappear and i get nothing. I try and restart but the MCp remains "dead". As i have said in my previous post everything has been working fine until last week!!!
  • Apologies the GIT is no longer locking up and no controls work except for the EFIS
  • If nothing is working then it suggests that you are not using the latest PMDG aircraft versions. Support is built in for the NGX/777/747. You just need to enable the MCP PRO in GIT for each aircraft. Is there anything listed in the Log? Have you tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions of GIT for P3Dv4?
  • I have the latest PMDG products installed just checked when going to enable as i have said in my previous post the dash's dissapear and the MCP " There is a number of things listed in the log but too big to send via forum
  • Have you tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions of GIT for P3Dv4?

Once you have tested both versions and neither work test if GIT is working with default aircraft with the MCP PRO? Test by loading up the Beech Baron 58 and clicking the Default FS button on the MCP PRO tab and then ENABLE it for the aircraft. It should come to life. To make sure its GIT doing it and not the GoFlight drivers, right click on the blue and black aircraft icon on the notification area of the Windows Taskbar and choose quit. GIT should be the only thing driving the MCP PRO now. If that works OK, then I can only suggest a reinstall of the PMDG aircraft or you find out what changed on your system that broke it and roll the changes back. I really need the log - its there to help me diagnose problems. Can you copy and paste it into a file and attach to this thread for me to look at tomorrow. If you quit GIT before attempting to use it with a PMDG aircraft, the log won't be that long.
  • Appreciate your help i am away now until Friday morning i will do it then, appreciate your patience
  • I have now got it working in the PMDG 737 however it still wont work with the 777 or 747, the simconnect/FSX remains red
  • You need to show me the log.

    Best wishes

  • Thats the log
  • There is nothing in the log that would impact PMDG aircraft, but other aircraft may not work with GIT as Winsock is being blocked or the GoFlight Interface Module.dll is not loading. GIT has done everything correct for PMDG though. The aircraft are not communicating with GIT for some reason. Its back to what has changed on your system that has messed everything up?

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • I have changed nothing on my system, i wish i had as it would no doubt be easier to resolve
  • Can you go back to the old version and see if that works?
