GIT and Engravity CDU PMDG won't run together
I used GIT and the Engravity CDU PMDG for quite some time on FSX with the PMDG 737; they worked perfectly. I recently upgraded my PC, installed P3Dv4.5 on W10. Subsequently I installed the P3D PMDG and both Pollypot products (new downloads). Separately they work fine again, but...
When I first start GIT (with the PMDG 737 running), GIT works fine, but after starting the Engravity CDU PMDG it doesn't give me 'three green'; only the left most 'flashlight' turns green, the middle and right most remain red, and the Engravity CDU remains blank.
If on the other hand I first start the Engravity CDU PMDG it works fine ('three green', I can use the CDU), but after starting GIT I get several message boxes with lots of errors; the main error seems to be 'The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Bert\AppData\Local\Temp\SyGdktWDSxJu9wbLtOksza==£LockheedMartin.Prepar3D.Simconnect.dll' because it is being used by another process' I assume the "another process" is the Engravity CDU PMDG, but they worked fine under FSX.
Do you know what the problem is; or even better :-) how to solve it?
Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Bert Hilberink

I hope this helps to solve the problem.
Kind regards,

Just to give you a better idea of the messages I get: 2 sets of 2 screenshots while P3D is running.
First set is with CDU interface started (and running OK), then starting GIT. Second set is with GIT started (and running OK), then starting CDU Interface.
I hope someone can help me some this. Thanks in advance.
Regards, Bert
I will look into it and come back to you.
Best wishes
Steve
Any progress regarding my problem? Still doesn't work...
Hope to hear from you soon. Best wishes,
Bert
I can confirm the error has occurred in my development environment as well. Not sure what is going on, however the workaround is to run the 64Bit version of GIT and the non 64Bit version of the CDU Interface for P3D. This way they don't use the same simconnect.dll and all works OK.
I will add a permanent fix into my to-do list.
Best wishes
Steve
And I can confirm that your workaround works for me too. I can use both now again, so I'm a happy customer again :-) Thanks for your support!
Best wishes,
Bert
