Ho do I get my new GF MCP pro up and running?

I am working on this for two days now without any progress. I hope I can get some help.
I am on W10 and X-Plane. Just bought the MCP Pro. Installed GIT for XP. Installed GF drivers, used the fixer file. My MCP Pro is lighting up when connecting to the PC (USB2), then dark.
Starting GIT for XP delivers three green and discovers the loaded aircraft correctly (X-Plane is running).
Importing a zip-file is not successful. Each time I click Import, GIT closes down. I tried this for multiple aircraft. I already renamed the documents folder.
Of course I uninstalled, re-installed, tried and tried. Have been reading and following all instructions.
I have no idea what to do next. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance. I am attaching the log file (showing two error messages).

  • Hi,

    This is your problem:

20:37:19 WinSock: Connection Failed: Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
20:37:19 LUA Processor: Connect Exception - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

GIT cannot talk to the GIT plugin running in X-Plane. Try disabling your firewall to see if that is blocking it. There is also a config file in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool called LUA Config.txt that allows you to change the hotname (ip addresss) and ip port.

  • Steve,
Thank you for your support. I disabled firewall, checked IP address X-Plane, replaced 'local host' in the LUA Config file to that IP-address. See attachment. Started X-Plane with TBM900 loaded. Started GIT. Log-file does not show any errors. Started import wizard. When entering the file by browsing and double click GIT closes and nothing happens. Restart of GIT is showing the errors again. See attachment. LUA Config changed back to 'local host'. See attachment.
Restarted X-Plane and then GIT: log-file has no errors. Filled import wizard manually by entering the file and path. I cannot click the MCP Pro box. Click Import. After a while is message: Complete. But nothing changed and the MCP Pro is still dead as it was. See screenshots before and after import action.
Could you suggest any option for further investigation? Thanks again.
    Loek.
  • OK, I have just looked at the download file and the chap who wrote it has made it incompatible with the import wizard. If you unzip the file and then go to the MCP PRO tab and use the import button on there to import the file it should work OK. You may need to quit GIT and restart it to make it function correctly.

    Best wishes

  • Thank you Steve. However it is a pity I cannot import on the MCP PRO tab. Everything is grayed-out (attachment). The same person did write for the a319. There he instructs placing the xml file in the Documents/GIT folder. I tried this for the TBM900. Nothing changes in not being able to import.
I have the feeling we are very close to success. What will be the final step?
    Thanks!
  • The combobox to the left of DISABLED needs to be clicked and then select Device 0 and everything will become enabled. Also after the import, make sure you change DISABLED to ENABLED.

    Best wishes

  • Steve, thank you for your help! It worked out well I am now testing and experiencing the MCP Pro for multiple aircraft. So far so good. [Sorry for not replying earlier, but my Internet connection was down and only just now restored.]
