newbie needs help with basic setting up t8 lights
Hi, just got this. hoping to set up the carenado b1900d with my GF stuff. just trying to do basic programming using the default baron 58. I'm having trouble just trying to set up one of my t8 switches to activate the landing lights, which is one of the basic events of FSX/P3d. I finally have it turning on the landing lights, but I can't seem to get them to turn off when I flip the switch. I have to toggle it twice for it to turn off. I'm doing this in P3Dv2.4, btw. This is what I have going on:
Switch 1: Switch Event= ON, Landing_lights_toggle,
Switch Action: Nothing (I tried all the different ones including On/Off, but it doesn't turn it off unless I toggle twice.
If I can't even get this default planes to do simple things like this, not sure how successful I'll be in the b1900D.
Thanks
I shut down the GoFlight Config program to make sure I had no conflicts. I also made sure I had no command going to this switch via FSUIPC. Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,
Events can be sent for 3 states, ON/OFF/HOLD. Each of these states can send an event. The event can be the same or different for each state.
With switches you have to define the event for both ON and OFF. In your example you need to add Landing_lights_toggle to ON and OFF so that the event is sent when the switch is turned on and when its turned off.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Bill,
Where you see "ON" to the left of the event, you can click on this and change the value to an OFF or HOLD state. When changed, you can then set some new events for that state. The previous states settings are saved, the interface only shows the currently selected states details.
Best wishes
Steve
