  • I will match Leo's donation
  • As someone who is interested in the QW787 I’m curious about how difficult it is to replicate the commands for the MCP and EICAS to work with that aircraft.

Is it just straight-forward but time consuming or does it require skill only a few people like Steve possess?
    Cheers,

  • No takers how about you Mr Steve Possess? Maybe update the GIT app you still get the donation
  • I'm up to my neck trying to finish off a brand new software product. Robains might be up for it as he has gone freelance now. You can contact him here on the forum.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Not sure how to contact this person but if you can pass the message I will go 40 usd on my donation I really like this aircraft
  • Search for Robains and his posts will appear towards the end.
  • Steve, could you answer my question please? It shouldn't be difficult for each user to create a profile for a new aircraft should it?
    Cheers,

  • It depends on how many lvars are exposed by the developer. The 757 was only partially done due to lack of lvars.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks Steve. It appears we're at the mercy of the developer. But assuming it's the same as the PMDG737 would it be difficult if all lvars are available? Time consuming but straight-forward rather than technically complex?
    Cheers,

The PMDG737 has an SDK that exposes everything. Last time I checked QW doesn't provide an SDK, so where its not Simconnect compliant, the relevant Lvars must be available or its a no go. Some people find Detective complex, whilst others excel at it, but personally I think its time consuming rather than difficult.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Thanks for clearing that up Steve. I found Detective wasn't too bad once I became familiar with it. That's often the case with powerful tools. What a shame QW haven't provided an SDK. I suppose that the difference between a 50 quid aircraft and an 80 quid one.

  • thank you for taking the time will be nice to have it done but it looks like is to hard
