P3Dv3 MJCQ400 Landing Gear Down Lights - LGTII

Hi,
I have noticed that when the landing gear is down and locked on the MJCQ400, the three gear lights in the LGTII do not transition from red (in transit) to green (down and locked). Similarly, when the Q400 first loads in P3D the gear lights are also red. Otherwise, the behaviour is normal. Lights are red during the transition and extinguish when the gear is retracted. So only the down and locked position seems to be a problem. I tried resetting to "Default FS" and this did not help.

LGTII config shows:
Gear Lights: GEAR_LEFT_POSITION
Gear Position: GEARLEFT Gear Up Value 0

Loading another aircraft like the A2A Comanche resolves the problem. When gear is down and locked the LGTII lights shown green.

Is there a specific LGTII config for the Q400 (non Default FS) that I should be using? Has anyone experienced this issue?
Thank you.

  • It sounds like its not fully Simconnect compliant and uses it own Lvars to indicate gear state. You would need to use detective to identify the Lvars and assign them to the LGT II.

    Best wishes
