Prepar3d v2.4 crashes with goflight Interface tool mentioned in dll.xml

Dear All,

My Prepar3d v2.4 crashes (CTD) when I add the following lines into dll.xml:

<Launch.Addon>
    <Name>GoFlight Module Interface</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>D:\Lockheed Martin\GoFlight\GoFlight Interface Module.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

The path is correct and is not in the main root of Prepar3d v2
I have a lot of products (dll's) from ORBX loaded into the dll.xml and they all load fine.
Just when I add the above described lines I will get a CTD during start up

Any guesses?

Greetings Martin

  • Hi Martin,

Have you tried changing the order its loaded in by repositioning it in dll.xml?

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Dear Steve,

I did, actually I putted the lines on the first possibility and the last entry; the result was both a CTD.
    Anyway thanks for the input!

    Greetings Martin
  • What aircraft is loading when it crashes?
  • It loads to the scenario screen with the f-35
  • even when I delete prepar3d.cfg and the default file is written by the simulator it crashes to desktop
  • Can you copy your dll.xml file to a backup and then remove all dll's except Goflight Interface Module and see if it loads.

    Thx

    Steve

  • Dear Steve,

I did, still same result; only the entryof Goflight interface module in dll.xml and still a ctd during start up.

Finally I uninstalled both goflight programs, reinstalled both programs unfortunately still same result.

Is this maybe a typical win 8.1 64 bit issue?

Let me know what you think?

    Greetings Martin

  • Hi Martin,

No, my development system is Win 8.1/64bit and it runs fine.

    Can you try

    1) Disabling any FSX utilities/addons/exe's that are running to see if they are causing the problem.

    2) Remove GIT and goflight drivers and try installing GIT and the goflight drivers into c:\program files (x86)\goflight and try it again just in case there is a bug related to directory paths

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Dear Steve,

I guess you solved the issue it works fine now, all programs are now in their default directories and all works fine.
    Thank you very much!

    Kind personal regards
    Martin
