Brightness not working on RP-48

Hi,

Setting brightness within GIT for my new RP-48 is not working. Several levels of brightness doesn’t work.

Comments

  • I'll add it to the bug list for investigation.

  • Thanks! Problem only exists on new version of RP-48. The previous version is working correctly
  • What do you mean "new version" - Black v Gray?
  • The gray version = new
  • Does the brightness setting work in GFConfig on your RP48.
  • Can't test this because i have no support simulator installed for GFConfig. I can only see the panels and that's it.
  • Hi Andrew,

I can confirm that the new RP48's do not support brightness changes. It doesn't work with GoFlights own drivers either.

    Best wishes

    Thanks Steve.
    Another question.

Can i run GIT in a windows 7 virtual machine so that all modules keep working. I think it is possible but i think that GIT is connecting via 127.0.0.1 because i see pipe connect failed...

Attached a picture what i want to achieve.

    Thanks!
  • If GIT and the plugin run in the VM it should work, if not its unlikely as it uses shared memory between GIT and the plugin. The LUA Config file specifies the dns name/ip address to access the plugin for messages so you could try changing that and restarting GIT and X-Plane.

  • Thanks Steve

In this case GIT is running in the VM and the plugin in the host (win10). So i want that GIT is communicating from the VM to the plugin. (Redirecting local loopback address is not possible of course) Is the LUA config file located in the GIT installation directory?

    Thanks again
  • Doubt it will work then. The Lua config file is in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool
  • Thanks again. With memorysharing between plugin en GIT i am also convinced that it won't work
