Lvar during "Test Bespoke Event"

Hi All. Quick question on why Lvar is not showing when testing newly created Bespoke event. Followed the many tutorials (all great by the way!) and it all makes sense and I've created a few test Bespoke events for my C152. The Event takes place and despite being very sure that I ALSO added the Lvar action and it's associated value (as reported in Detective) , just below the Event. Yes, did SEND for event and SET for Lvar...Hum. I know the EVENT at least is happening as I see the animation in the VC but my guess is that without the Lvar triggering, the sim doesn't have the new value to play with in the dynamics of the aircraft? In other words, the lever or switch alone moving but without showing an Lvar changing is just an animation and no appreciable change to aircraft state.

Anyway, if anyone has any insight into IF I am supposed to see both Event and Lvar happen in detective when testing and if so...why I only have EVENT showing when I test.

(BTW and p.s.) If I mouse click the event in the VC, I do get both EVENT and Lvar in the detected field.....

  • If the VC is changing, that usually can be sufficient in a lot of cases. How are you determining it isn't?

It's possible that the lvar change was missed because the polling interval is too low. You can try lowering it to zero and see if it shows up.

You can also just try the event or the lvar change on its own. It could be that using both is throwing things out of whack and the event changes the lvar back to the value it was previously.

Also try adding a small sleep between the event and the lvar change if you need to change both.

If still no luck, post the Tasks you have used to form the Bespoke Event.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve. Thanks for jumping in. The VC is changing when Bespoke event is tested as well when assigning to T8 GF module and throwing the assigned switch...in that regard, I'm flyin' straight and level . And...it seems to every now and again show the Lvar data. Probably increasing polling interval helped reveal some of that.. I set it to about mid value., One remaining question. Is it possible to link two actions into one bespoke event? I am trying to set up the primer for the C152. In Detective, the pull OUT of the primer triggers one Lvar and no event; (LEFT_LOWER_prime_anim=100) and the push IN of the primer triggers one event; ENGINE_PRIMER and also one Lvar; (LEFT_LOWER_prime_anim=10). I created two individual bespoke events and they work great..But can they be linked to one bespoke event and assigned a slider axis (to mimic the push/pull rod in the C152 maybe use the prop axis on the Go Flight TPM module) or at worst, one momentary contact button function on something like the RP48?

Thanks for any insight. (and thanks again for the polling idea!)
