GIT locks up
Need help. Long time user of GIT and PMDG737. Yesterday I downloaded the GIT drivers for FSX from pollypot. I had vers 3.6.5 according to my programs listed in control panel. I also see my windows 8 system has goflight cockpit control system vers 2.28.0 listed.
I uninstalled via control panel the GIT version 3.6.5. Then I installed the version 3.8.00. Reboot. Checked programs in control panel and see that the version installed shows 3.6.5 again. Weird!.
Now when I try to use the software with FSX,Pmdg737, and start GIT , GIT hangs up. I see a blank for the hardware, a yellow light for Simconnect, and a Red light for the aircraft.
Over the past 4 years I never had this happen when I redo drivers for GIT.
Any one else have any ideas on what steps to take?
Thanks

I do have one question for you. I have two GF-P8 modules in my cockpit setup that I use for simple FSX commands, ie Pause, frame rate or just 3,4,5,6,etc. I don't remember how I got those modules to work with PMDG737. After starting the GIT, these two P8 modules do not function as I programmed them to do with the GFConf screen. They are correctly showing up on the PMDG737NGX.GFC screen. On the GIT, I tried enabling, disabling, ignoring the modules. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks again for you help.
Wayne
My problem getting the GF-P8s to work correctly was because I reinstalled GFConfig and GIT in the default directory. My previous setup I installed both in C:\GoFlight. Verified MS-AV excludes this Directory. Also made sure files: GFConfig.exe GFKeys.exe GIT.exe all have RUN AS ADMIN.
All is back to normal.
I hope others may find this info helpful.
Again Thanks for the tip on GFDev.dll.
Have a great day!
