DC-6 PMDG

I have the Interface tool and just updated for it to work with the BBJ. My pmdg 737's work so good and I hardly touch the mouse for any thing. My question is, I just bought the dc-6 and there's certain actions such as the 'Gyro pilot' and 'altitude cruise' flip switch that you have to look way down and in the dark you can't find it 1/2 the time, and the cockpit lights when you fly at night none of my go flight buttons or switches work except for the park brake and I have about 10 modules At night I have to set dusk -dawn or daylight, go in turn the lights on that i need and then put it all back to real night time, there has to be a better way . I'm ready to buy a toggle switch Go-Flight module just for the dc -6 if I knew there was a way to program them. I see in the down load section there are Aircraft conf. files for different aircraft but it's way above me head and no way am I taking a chance when I have everything working real nice.

  • Hello Louis. The PMDG DC-6 is one of my favorite aircraft. I have the GIT and the P8 (2X) and T8 module. I have looked the video's a couple of times to get Lvars and Events happening in my cockpit but I gave up.

I cannot get things to work with the DC6.
please let me know if you have something.

Oh ok, so I'm not alone. I know Mitch who bought back Go-flight and I'm so glad cause it wasn't run right before and i know John the teck and is real good at customer service but they are closed now. Me and my friend tried following a tutorial on the interface tool but gave up cause it was above our heads, I was hoping Steve or some one could help. A while back there was a guy, Rob is his name and offered to make custom files and asked if any one would be interested as there would be a little charge and i was one who said yes but he got busy with his own stuff and i never heard what happened . I'd gladly pay some one to come in with team view and do it. I'll let you know .I posted on The PMDG DC-6 section and no one relied.

I figured some stuf out with the GIT. Do you have GIT?

I think I am able to set the autpilot to goflight buttons.
I already have my T8 working with the ADI switches
Unfortually it is not yet working with the boost pump. The switch is working in VC but the pressure is not rising,...strange!

Let me know if you have GIT

    regards Ronald

Ha aren't you getting brave, yes i just updated it so the pmdg BBJ works. I have the Advanced auto pilot that Go -Flight don't make any more and it works not all too shabby. I think I'm fine there Ron . The T8's i have 2 of them and RP 48's i have 2 also . If i can get the Gyro Pilot flip switch and the flip altitude hold to work and a few light so i can see some thing i should be in pretty good shape .

What do you need exactly. I think I can manage to make an Event bespoke for the GYRO, ALT and Clutch switches.
I also have the bespoke for the ADI switches.

Shall I email them to you?

what time zone are you in. UTC +1 here.

    greetings Ronald

I'm in Canada Alberta, Mountain time not far from Calgary. UTC -7 ---- I have a GF-48 and i can set the transponder on it and also a ADF freq like maybe 266 works fine .And i have 2 GF's 166, one for com's and one for nav and they seem to work . If i'm landing in Bozman KBZN lets say Run 12 with the freq 109.3 if i look up at the radio in the dc-6 and the freq109.3 is over to the right i punch the freq 109.3 in my go flight and it comes alive , so that all good I need the the GYRO , ALT and Clutch switches like your saying and i few lights when i enter the cockpit at night louis8M@gmail.com thanks Ron
