MSFS 2020 and GF-T8

I've gotten two switches of the T8 programmed (landing lights and taxi lights) however, the strobe lights and beacon lights don't seem to act the same with similar events. Landing and taxi lights worked with toggle actions and selection as the switch settings; however, the beacon and strobe lights require the toggle be switched twice (once for on, again for off) with the same settings. Am I doing this right; am I missing something? Are the events this inconsistent throughout?

  • You need to set the relevant toggle event for ON and OFF.

  • Steve, Thanks for the reply. Here is what has gotten me closest With the GF-T8 n FS2020. This requires that the switch be moved twice; once for on and again for off. Would be ideal for the light to come on when the switch is move up and off when the switch is moved down.

    Switch Event ON Landing_Lights_Toggle

    Switch Action Selector

    Light Data Light_Landing_On

Light Action ON Light Value 1

My second dilemma is with the RP-48 rotary switches. Here's what has gotten me close:

    Rotary Event CLCK Heading_Bug_Inc

    Rotary Action Nothing

This allows me to increase the settings but not decrease them. I realize there is no Detective for the FS2020 SDK and am eagerly
  • You need to assign the toggle event to OFF as as well as ON using an Action of NOTHING.

Again assign the inc event to clockwise and dec event to anti-clockwise.

  • I did not realize we could assign more than one event to a switch. Got it now. Thanks.
