GF166A & GF45 Panels - No Displays Xplane 11

I have recently purchased two GoFlight panels. One is a GF166A and the other is a GF45. I use the Zibo 737-800 in X-Plane 11. I have the GF plug-in loaded in the core t folder and also have the X-Plane Go Flight Interface Tool. I have download the profiles from the Pollypot Software site that do load these into X-Plane. My issue is that the displays do not come on but when I plug them into the USB port the display their GF166 and GF45 displays them go blank. What is also weird is that the GF166 is working as I can tune to radios in the Zibo, I know because I turn the knobs and the radios change frequency fine.

Tried everything I know

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

To also advise, I have a GF EFIS and a GF MCPPRO and they both work fine. Power management unchecked on the USB ports.

Thanks for reading

  • Hi,
The only thing I would check is the device brightness is set to 15.

Not quite sure what you mean about the "GF plug-in loaded in the core folder". I only have the GIT plugin-in for x-plane and a standard GoFlight software install for Windows 10.

Thanks David will check the brightness.
  • It may be Windows power management settings, or you need to run Windows8Fixer from the GoFlight drivers (instructions in their readme file).

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve

Have known about the power management issue for a long time. I do it manually through device manager. I also did the Windows8Fixer today but it did not have any impact.

Thanks for messaging me though, appreciated.

Honestly, am usually quite good at working out what is wrong but I am totally stumped. Probably will sell my GF166 and GF45.

Weirdly my GF MCPPRO and GF EFIS work perfectly.

    All the best
    Rich
