I need to add the enable function on the other RP48 tab, it always catches people out!
Best wishes
Steve
I think that would be a good idea. Also is there a way to set so all of my devices default to enabled rather than disabled?
Sometimes when I start the interface a device that had been previously enabled is disable Do? Is that the way it should work?
Thanks
Terry
Hi Terry,
No they are all disabled by default so only the ones you use with a particular aircraft are monitored to reduce CPU usage.
Devices are enabled/disabled per aircraft. The setting is saved per device/aircraft.

So once enabled for an aircraft, they will always be enabled unless specifically disabled for that same aircraft?
Thanks
Terry
Yes. E.g. If you enable an RP48 for the C172, the same RP48 will be disabled when the Trike is subsequently loaded unless you had previously enabled it for the Trike.

Is there a way when using key presses for bespoke events to specify how long the keys are held? For example one of the virtual buttons requires that it be held for .25 sec. Many keystroke mapping type programs have a setting for the duration of the keystroke and I was wondering if you provided for such? If not, please consider it a feature request.
Thanks
Terry
I have really tried not to bother you with this but I am out of ideas. I am looking for variables that can be used in the light data field for the current mode of the autopilot in the A2A C172. I have all the switches working to select each mode but have not been able to find a good light data source. I have tried using bespoke variables to set each mode but they get out of synch very easily. If you cannot find variables that work then I will give up.
Thanks
Terry
Hi Terry,
Have you looked at what I did for the orginal version of the A2A C172 in the downloads section?
Best wishes
Steve
I had not as I do not have a mcp or mcp pro. I did down load the flies to study how you setup the events and variables. It looks like you used the "autopilot heading lock" and the "autopilot Navone lock" for the light data vars and bespoke vars for the APR and REV modes. I tried the heading lock and Navone lock for the hdg and nav modes with no success? I believe I have the light section set just as you have it so I can not understand why the light doesn't come on? I am using a 46 and a 48 unit for all of the ap functions.
I should have downloaded these earlier as I have learned some new logic steps even if light didn't work.
Thanks
Terry
Hi Terry,
I'll try and find some time this week to have a good look at the latest version and see what is happening.

Any progress on this?
Terry
Hi Terry,
Apologies for the delay. I'll take a look at it tonight.

Hi Terry,
It looks like the autopilot is no longer simconnect compatible after the various updates, so the simconnect variables no longer work and nothing is showing up in Detective that is of any help.
I think the best approach would be to use a bespoke variable that is set to some value depending upon the mode/button pressed on the autopilot. E.g. for the heading button create a bespoke event that sets the relevant lvars and events but also sets Bespoke Var 0 to 1. For the nav button create a bespoke event that sets the relevant lvars and events but also sets Bespoke Var 0 to 2 etc.
Then you can use Bespoke Var 0 as light data in your Rp48 config and test for the On condition using values 1,2,3 etc for all the relevant modes.

Can I set standard sim connect vars as well as Lars.
Terry
Hi Terry,
Yes you can set them, but the A2A 172 appears to no longer reference them. Note that not all simconnect vars can be set (even some of those Microsoft state can).
Best wishes
