Copying PMDG737NGX settings to NGXu

Hi Steve. I’ve just bought the PMDG737NGXu. Previously I had the NGX and had programmed a lot of GoFlight T8 switches. I understand the PMDG SDK is unchanged so in theory they should work with the ‘u’.

I’ve copied and pasted the NGX file, renamed it and edited the Aircraft name in the XML file. But the switches don’t work. Is there another way of mapping the controls rather than starting afresh?
Cheers,
Ray (Cheshire, England)

  • I’ve just remembered why the switches aren’t working. I programmed several of them via FSUIPC and I haven’t copied and pasted those entries into the FSUIPC6.ini. That should fix the majority.

  • GIT sees them as the same aircraft, so the NGXu should just pick up your old NGX settings.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Hi Steve. Yes, it does once I pasted all my FSUIPC button commands into the new ini file.
