GIT and common joystick modules
Dear PollyPot forum,
I am currently experimenting with some common joystick modules in combination with the PMDG-737 (fsx). The joystick modules are recognized correctly under Win 10 and GIT and can be configured as simple on-off-switches without any problems. However, I have difficulties if I use rotary switches. I want to realize e.g. the autobrake functions. I use Input Event = on; EVT_MPM_Autobrake_Selector + Custom / Custom Value 0 (RTO), 1(OFF) and so on ... In principle this works correctly, if I change the switch positions very slowly. But if I turn faster several times, the configuration gets confused at the Custom Values and I don't have the continuity of Custom 1,2,3,4,5,6 anymore.
I have already increased Write Delay and Cmd Delay in the Setting parameters, but that doesn't really help.
The problem occurs with different rotary switches and different joystick modules.
What am I doing wrong?

If its a selector, do each of the states get seen as an individual switch?

yes, each position of the used rotary switches is defined as an individual switch in the controller, e. g. for the auto brake: RTO position = button 1 on (closed), OFF= button 2 on (closed) and so on ...

But unfortunately I noticed another problem: The joystick controller is recognized correctly by GIT, but I have to select and activate it manually every time. And the switch parameters (e.g. the custom values) are saved unreliably.
Maybe it is a hardware incompatibility after all? The model I use is: "pick up" from microhelis.de in combination with a breadboard (https://shop.microhelis.de/PICK-UP-8-36_1). When I open this controller in Win 10 with the internal game controller program, everything works correctly. This board is similar to the LeoBodnar boards, which are hardly available or much too expensive in Germany. LeoBodnar boards do not work with GIT at all and are not recognized in the program, if I have read that correctly in the forum.
A little bit frustrating because I had hope that I can combine this controller with my Goflight components.
But maybe there is a solution after all?

LeoBodnar does work with GIT.
I'm not clear at this point if its a bug in GIT or a quirk with your hardware. I'll take a look at the joystick code to see if there is a possible problem there.
