Installation Error

I am trying to install my MCP Pro and EFIS on a new PC With new installation of windows 10 and FSX (from DVD). I have installed GF Config Setup 2_28_0 and GoFlight Interface Tool 3_6_5_1following the installation guide on this site. When I first start up FSX with the default flight, the MCP windows show dashes. When I load a saved flight cold and dark I get the following error message: Unable to load bespoke events. The cloud file provider is not running. TAKE A COPY OF YOUR SETTINGS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE. The MCP in this situation shows nothing on the displays and does not do anything.
Can anyone help please

  • As far as know yes
  • Can you post the GIT Log when you first start FSX.

    Thx

  • GIT Log and EXE.XML attached
  • I need you to copy and paste the Log in the GIT tab.

    Thx

  • Apologies Steve, I think I got the correct log file this time
  • It looks like dll.xml has not been updated to load the GoFlight Interface Module. If you look at the installation instructions, there is a section for older versions which will explain how to update the dll.xml file manually.

  • Still having problems no matter what I try, giving up for now
  • Following on from the above, here is what is happening with my MCP PRO.
    1. FD switch inoperative
    2. A/T switch inoperative
    3. IAS rotary works
    4. Heading selector works
    5. Altitude Selector inoperative, but mirrors what I select on screen
    6. Vert Speed inoperative, but mirrors what I select on screen
    7. A/P switches inoperative, but mirror what I select on screen.
    8. I have the latest software and .xml files look ok

Do you have any more ideas please?
    Many thanks

Do you have an Event and Variable assigned to the FD Switch in GIT on the MCP Pro tab. If not, click the Default FS button on the MCP Pro tab and it should self configure.

Remember you need to do the above whenever you first fly a particular aircraft, after that, GIT remembers the settings.

PS: If you are using complex 3rd party aircraft, they may not be fully Simconnect compliant. That is what Detective is for, to help you spot event and lvars that can be used to correctly configure the MCP Pro.
  • After much research and trying all the fixes, I still cannot get my MCP Pro working after upgrading my PC. The unit I have is quite old, at least 10 to 15 years and I read that because it is so old, it is not compatible with the newer USB 2.0 or 3.0. If you can conform this fact then I guess I will have to buy a new more up to date unit when available. Many thanks
  • Use GoFlights MCP Pro test software to check the hardware is not faulty: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvmOqBMETlayh9ZQKy3urkyHuWeNEw?e=DcrEv6

USB 3 works for most people, but GoFlight recommend USB 2.
