ABORT event shuts down P3D ... how to set to No_Event

Hi Steve,

Working thru my PMDG 737 mapping.   In my quest to remove an event associated with On (On/Off/Hold), I couldn't find an NULL or "No Event" so I set it to ABORT thinking this was a null event ... boy was I mistaken, it shuts down P3D with no warning/confirmation.

I realize I can edit my XAML to remove the association, but was trying to stay within GIT.  Is it safe to set to "BLANK"?

Cheers, Rob.

  • Hi Rob,

BLANK is the correct event to remove the association.

Perfect!  Thanks again Steve ... got most of it down, less WXR ... will do that tonight with the new update.  WP6 is working well to ... I may have to get some more T8's, they seem to work best with On/Off.

    USB 255 device cap ... 5 hubs at 32 devices each ... I still got room ... I think :)

On a side note: I'm having odd (and random) GF module initialization (lights will cycle as if just plugged in) when I'm doing nothing, not flying, just working on my PC.  It doesn't seem to affect anything when I'm flying, all works as expected.  But curious if you've ever experienced this and if you have, were you able to find a solution?

    Cheers, Rob.
  • Hi Rob,

I have seen that issue before quite a lot. If memory serves me correctly you need to disable the power management for all the Goflight devices (and possibley the hubs) so they don't get turned off when not being used.

  • Thanks Steve,  yep that was it ... I went thru ALL the USB device/hubs some were randomly set to allow the OS to turn the device OFF ... no idea why some and not others but all corrected now.

    Many thanks Rob.
  • Windows USB was rightly called Plug and Pray!

    Glad its sorted.

    Best wishes
