To all who helped me - update: After long periods of trying I have finally given up now. In the A/C slide-down-menu there´s a checkbox called "plugin radio". When I check this box I can use stuff like Saitek radios for xpdr and com, and also use the GF 46. But checking this box also disables GF166 so I will just live with…

Hi Rob, the longer the better! There´s such a lot to learn from you and I (not only hopefully) am very thankful for your hard work!!! Best wishes, Alex
-
Thanks Rob, thanks Steve! This OHP is one of my wishes that have come true thru your both people's hard work! - But now I want more!!! One day the cockpit mist be full size and full scale! @ Rob: all switches and LEDs are Conrad Electronic used with 3 DIO boards, I can send you art# from the Austrian distribution if you…

Rob, when I started with GIT I used several Saitek panels with Sparker's plugin and had absolutely no idea how to get GIT running. But using your vid parallel on a different screen made me program my first bespoke event! Meanwhile I have finished the entire 777 using 3DIO boaeds for my DIY-overhead panel, as well as efis,…

Hi Rob, thanks for your comment! I'm currently very strongly bound to my job, but asap I'll try to get into the LUA thing. current status: I don't even know how to bring Steve's programming into one (or two?) bespoke event (s)... Hope to find some time next weekend! btw: Wasn't it you who made that fine youtube tutorial…
-
Sorry, no update available yet... I just can´t make friends with that LUA programming... No idea if Steve wrote one command or more to be assigned separately, read all the manuals up and down several times but I might be too stupid for that. So reading one more time now. - All the rest is working so pretty fine, I just…

Wow Steve... this really kicks me off my seat now! I´ve never expected that this would happen, and all I can do for now is to say THANK YOU!!! Right now I started to rearrange all my USB hubs and cables and add some new powered hubs to ensure sufficient electric power for all the GF devices. But right afterwards I´ll have…

Maybe I just need to get used to the fact that I must set the xpdr via mouse in the 3d cockpit - couldn´t get it to work in any way... That "xpndr/dig" tries to kill me, but I´ll stop working on it and survive ;-) Thanks for all the assistence, maybe one day the solution comes in my dreams...
-
Hi Slayer, thank you so very much for all the provided informations! I have already "played" with xpndr/dig, but until now without any noticeable success... (maybe I was too fast in incrementing?) I will give it a very intense try today to figure it out ;-) about your edit: I can´t write or even speak any LUA - I´m just so…
-
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts with my problem, Slayer! "set 1st digit with rotary , press, set 2nd digit, press, set 3rd, digit press etc" - would be my favourite solution... I am really thinking about a kind of array made by several if-statements in the programming, but I´m still far away from "perfect with GIT"…
-
Wow, I appreciate your help so very much, Steve, even if it didn´t work this time! Thank you for your "wasted" time - I will ask FF about those facts and keep you informed! Happy holidays!!! Alex P.S.: Since today in use: 3 x DIO Board for the complete DIY Overhead Panel 777 (96 switches, buttons and rots and 103 lamps 1 x…

Hi Steve, thanks a lot for your quick response! Did what you said, started with squawk 1111 1st turn cw: 0001006784 DataRef : sim/cockpit/radios/transponder_code DataRef Data: 1211 0001006849 DataRef : sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/transponder_code DataRef Data: 1211 0001006997 DataRef : sim/cockpit/radios/transponder_code…

Hi Dave, had to learn just the same hard way today... as a beginner of using GIT I´ve just finished my 777 completely and suddenly all lights and switches changed or didn´t work any more... dunno why. So it´s easy to say "you are so damned right" Backed up for the future - keeps frustration away  regards, Alex
-
Hi Rob, the holiday season seems to be the best time for sim-jobs, right? That will be the time when I´ll try to finish my overhead panel. So your good intentions are just in time for me..... What would I do without your voluntarily shared knowledge? Cheers, Alex
-
Hi Rob, I just can´t thank you enough for this tutorial! You taught me to program my first switch ever! B) Now - two weeks later - I am not able to live without GIT any more!!! Best wishes from Austria Alex
-
Hi Steve, never before got a question answered quicker and so satisfying! YOU ROCK! Got my 1st DIO today and when it does what I expect I'm gonna get some more for my "non-toylike homecockpit"! Thanks to GIT my dreams come true after years of hope
-
Hello Steve, thank you very much for all the assistence you give! I will try my best as soon as I find some time... my job´s killing me right now. Keep you informed, Alex
-
Thanks a lot Steve... for the prog example! Appreciate your help very much! When my programming of GIT is complete I'll try to find out how I can get enabled to post in xpl.org. People need to know that there's a great solution for all their cockpit needs! Greetings from snowy Austria Alex
-
OH SORRY, I forgot to delete this post, found the "bug" later - a defective power supply of my usb hubs caused the freeze! And I thought this could never happen to me... Alex
-
Hi Steve, thanks for your answer. This sounds quite clear to me, fact is that I have no idea what a BE of this should look like. I really don´t want to appear like a stupid sticky guy but could you please give me some hints to build this needed BE? For the moment I am so very happy that I could manage almost all of my…
-
Hi Steve, no need to investigate, I´ve restarted the sim and GIT several times and now the black scn is gone, things are just fine now! Thanks for all your help, you are a great supporter! If you want to get mad you should carefully watch the x-plane.org forum... there is a big lot of work to do bc. people write stupid…
-
Fully agree! I started working with GIT just 2 days ago without any knowledge, just Rob´s Youtube tutorial and the PollyPot manual. Today I tried to contact Steve and he answered pretty precisely within a good timespan. - (Beginner´s) problems solved. Just incredible how bad some people write about PollyPot on different…

PROGRESS update: Slayer´s bespokes work pretty fine! A/P is manageable now and some more assignments are done perfectly. (gonna read them out for sure to learn from his work) Only one trouble left for now: The CPT´s PFD is completely dark now after importing the bespoke events... as I´m not a programmer I have no idea for…
-
Thanks a lot Steve, I will work on your advice and keep you informed. BTW: Great support, great Software, very quick response, just completely different than mentioned in some forums which has kept me away from using GIT for a long time until now ;)
-
P.S. I have noticed the preconfig, but I want to learn to manage this precious software
-
Hi Steve, thanks for your answer! I think you misunderstood me though: 1st time I click dataref = 1 (on) which is ok; 2nd click is dataref = 0 but A/P is still on! A/P can only be disc. via disc button! This is what makes me unsure what to assign! 1. A/P arm dataref1 A/P is now on 2. disco via disco button A/P is off 3.…
