Issue after installation of P3D v4.5

Hello Steve:

A "small" problem with GFIT has popped up, after the installation of version 4.5 of P3D.

The buttons, switches and rotaries of all my modules do not work.

The windows and lights (for example MCP, RP48, T8-2, etc.) show what is shown on the windows and lights of the simulator.
Further, I have made sure that their programming is still there and that all modules are enabled.

I have also been able to identify them through GFIT (which tells me that they are recognized), but I have not been able to determine how to get the buttons, switches, rotaries working again.

I recall that I had a similar problem a very long time ago and that the solution you suggested was (as far as I can remember) not too complicated. But I need to be reminded of what to do.

Thank you!

All the best!
Roberto

  • That's weird, its normally the other way round - no displays but the buttons work!?

Can you copy and paste the log and attach here.

    Thx

  • Hello Steve:

Something very strange and scary happened, but all is well now.

After writing to you and starting my simulator computer (I exclusively use that computer only for simulation), there was a total crash of everything, including Windows, with an ominous blue screen full of information that I couldn't understand.

After the computer shut itself down, I restarted it and, to my relief, all returned to normal. I tried everything a few times and all programs are running OK.

I had to update a number of add-ons (Active Sky, for example) after updating P3D to v4.5 and it is possible that one of those updates created the issues.

I can't recall, but it is also possible that I started the simulator without re-booting the computer after the installation of the updates, and that could have been the main cause of the problems.

All appears to be well and I am breathing again!

    All the best!
    Roberto
