Step by step guide with screen shots would be a great help

Hi,

I am new to the GIT and have been trying to learn it for about a week now with little success. I am not a computer wizz and have basic computer skills and am trying to learn this program desperately so I can get my PMDG 737 and A2A 172 flying on FSX. I have invested a lot of money into Goflight modules thinking it would be easy. How wrong I was.

I know it is a fantastic program from all the comments, but I just cannot understand the instructions in the online user guide. The terminology and instructions I am sure are well understood by those with good computer knowledge, but for us newbies, it really is a foreign language. A test of a manual written by an expert is to give it to a lay person and see if they can follow it. I can't and I am sure I am not lone.

This program has so much to offer so many but we newbies need real help to understand the program. A series of topics showing how to do something using a series of screen shots starting with the basics and then covering the harder topics would be great. Without it, or a 'Dummies Guide a To GIT' I fear I will never get to use the program and the same fate will be for many others

Please thinks about screen shot instruction guides as they do work well and maybe getting someone computer illiterate to read the manual and help with a Dummies a Guide.

Thanks for the program. I am not trying to be negative. Something great has been developed here, and I just hope I get to understand it one day to benefit from it.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. The problem is a lack of time at the moment. I did plan to do some youtube videos to get people started, but again time commitments are the problem.

I suggest you start off simply and try to use flight sims built in facilities e.g. configure a switch to act as a parking brake. Leave Detective stuff until last. Post questions on the forum and I or others will help you get up to speed.

    Best wishes
    Steve
