T8 settings lost - frustrated beyond words!
Hi Steve,
Once I configured a row of T8 switches for my Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 I exported them so they were safe. But something strange has happened and I have lost them all despite them appearing in the attached xml file. Can you offer any help as to how I can link these to the relevant switches please? No actions show against any of the 8 switches when I choose Import and select the XP Gates Learjet 25 v2r1.xml. Please don't tell me I have to start all over again.

Are these changes saved automatically or is a manual action required?

There is also a automatic backup folder created in the same directory as the data files that can help sometimes.
Best wishes

When I exit P3D it’s my belief that programs like GIT are killed rather than being closed in an orderly manner when the user clicks the X.
Settings are not saved as the user creates new events in GIT. They’re only saved when the program closes. Therefore if another process kills GIT any changes are not saved. That’s the only reason I can think why changes weren’t saved.
So if users want to be certain their settings are saved close GIT manually.
