GF-166 - frequency 8.33 kHz - comma

Hello.
I'm using GIT with X-Plane 11.41.
I was able to configure the GF-166 as a COM1 and 2 radio.
I handle the 8.33kHz frequency change correctly.
But I can not cope with the display of the comma in any way - I need it to be in the 3rd position (from the left), as shown in the photo:

I am asking for help, because I have already exhausted my own ideas ....

  • This parameter cannot be set in the "Light Action" options. Only two decimal digits can be displayed. Or I don't know something.
Since it is possible to set the frequency with a 8.33 kHz step, maybe you need to update the GIT to adapt the program to current standards ???
  • Use a Light Action DIVIDE_AS_DECIMAL with a custom value of 1000.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I thought so too and of course I tried it too.
But it doesn't work for me.
Here's what I get then (sorry for the quality of the photo):

Changing the value from 100 to 1000 does not change the position of the decimal point, but only the number of displayed digits.
  • I'll add it to the bug list for fixing.

  • Thanks.
I forgot to mention that this is the version for X-Plane. ;-)

  • Is something already known about the repair of the "comma" ???
  • It will be a few weeks yet, as I'm bogged down in alpha testing a new product I've written.

  • Apparently there will be new GIT patches in the near future.
Will they also include XP and comma problem ???
  • Yes, I have added additional light actions for add, subtract, divide and multiply that round to 3 decimal places.

  • Thank you very much. I am waiting politely. ;-)
  • It's available now. Download in the normal way.

Only now I have the opportunity to check the new version of the program.
Unfortunately, I still can't set the frequency display with 3 decimal places despite choosing the option:
    DIVIDE_OF_DECIMAL_3_DECIMAL_PLACES.
When he writes in the field next to 10 - the comma on tehe screen moves one place (XXXXX.X); when I enter 100, the comma moves two places (XXXX.XX).
But when I enter 1000 - comma still remains unchanged; numbers in the format XXXX.XX or XXX.XX appear on the display.

I uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the new one.
What am I doing wrong ???

In no setting can I force GF166 to have a comma before 3 digits ...

  • Thank you very much. I will only add that I have two GF166 modules, so it can't be the fault of the damaged unit.

  • Did you have a moment to take a look at the comma problem ???
  • I'll PM you a link to a new version to try.

  • Thank you very much for taking care of this problem and patches to the program.
The left display window works 100% correctly, but there are still problems with the right display. Still with "DIVIDE_AS_DECIMAL_3_DECIMAL_PLACES" and Light Value: "1000"
the format for presenting the number is incorrect:

  • Leave it with me.
  • I will PM you a new link.
  • I do not know how to thank you :-)
After the last amendment, everything is OK.
I really appreciate your work and thank you very, very, very much.
  • Hi,

I've managed to display the radios correctly as stated above. However, the rotary button does not allow me to select all available 8.33 kHz radio frequencies.

E.g. 120.780: the rotary button allows me to go from 120.770 to 120.800, but not to 120.780.

I couldn't find any information about this in the FAQ or the forums.

    Thanks for your help!

  • That must be a bug in FS2020, might be worth raising it with MS/Asobo.
