My Two T8's Have Swapped Settings

edited March 2020 in General
Set up all the toggle switches on my two T8's. Been quite a learning experience but getting through it. Also have 8 other modules that are now mostly set up with GIT and working fine. Much more to learn, but I'm making progress.

This morning I started up GIT and loaded the PMDG 737NXGu and discovered that all the toggle switch settings for T8 device "0" have now been set, exactly as on device "0", to T8 Device "1". All my settings that were on T8 Device "1" are now on T8 Device "0". Any way to correct this? They are all labeled and had been working just fine until this morning. I suppose I can swap their locations, but I would really not want to do so if it can be helped.

Also... I start GoFlight config tool, then GIT, then load the 737. Both T8's are DISABLED when after the 737 configs. I have to manually ENABLE both prior to flying. Is this normal? How can I get them to be "ENABLED" at startup.

THANKS!!

  • Hi,

You will have to manually edit the PMDG.XML file in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and look for the following:

    <GFT8> <Devices Type="GFDEVHWTYPE_GFT8" Qty="2" Clusters="1"> <Device ID="0" DeviceState="ENABLED" Brightness="8"> ....... <Device ID="1" DeviceState="ENABLED" Brightness="8">

Change the ID= part, i.e. swap the numbers for each device. Do this with GIT not running.

The device state only gets updated on the screen when you select a device, so it does look like they are disabled, but they are not.

    Best wishes
    Steve
