MSFS 2020: GF166A Smaller frequency knobs only know one direction -> up?

Anyone have the problem that the frequency knobs to change the frequency after the comma only increase the frequency, no matter if I turn them counterclockwise or clockwise. The larger knob for the frequency setting before the comma works fine (counterclockwise - down, clockwise-up). Is this a GIT error or a MSFS error? I am using the version 4.3.3.0 of GIT for Microsoft Flightsimulator 2020.

  • The event may be missing. Just click the COM button again to reconfigure it.

It doesn't matter what I do, the middle nob on the 166 radio panel still only knows one direction: up. Also trying to tune into Santos Dumont SBRJ ground 121,700 always results in 121,705. Frustrating, because no idea if it's the sim, or the work in progress of GIT. Why SBRJ? Never had a Rio scenery this good, and flying in my home european region is "boring" :-). Also cannot get my MCP to light up while we are at it. The MCP pro does however. Knobs work on both (up AND down), and buttons I think too.
  • The fix with the frequency going to 121,705 was because I thought in the beginning you needed the GoFlight drivers/software to get the Displays to work. Deinstalled that, and it fixed that issue. Was hoping it would fix my knob issue also, but no luck. Still only goes up. My MCP also didn't get it's displays fixed. If I hit "hdg hold" on the MCP, the led on my MCP pro goes on instead of the MCP. MCP stays dark. Also everything I set on the MCP shows on the MCP pro :-))
  • When you turn the knob does the Goflight LED on the Status page flash different shades of green? I check the MCP issue.

yes, I have that too. Change ROTARY_PRESSED1 to COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC and _DEC instead of the ..._CARRY events. That fixed it.
  • prokopiu your my man! The Radios work now the way they should. Down AND Up! Yaaaay!
  • Both Knobs (Radio and MCP) make the Green goflight LED under "Status" flicker in shades of Green. The Radio knob part seems to be solved. The wrong defaults get loaded when you hit "NAV" or "COM" to load the Defaults. As prokopiu states, it needs to be the settings without the "carry". At least with him and with me it works then. MCP you said you're looking into. Thanks. Would be cool if we get that working too.
  • The not wrong defaults, those events must not be working yet in FS2020.

That could be. But It was a rather simple change, and I am happy now that it even works. I may look into what the MCP pro display settings are, and try to port them to my MCP to see if that gets it going displaywise. Haven´t had the time yet, but the christmas holidays are coming (for me starting on the 9th of dec - due to this stupid virus, had a ton of vacation days left).

  • Thanks! It is working in mine. It was very useful.
