Device Qty Mismatch!
I have had to remove my GF-45 and GF-46 modules, because of their continuing malfunctioning (with the last GFIT update, I lost the temporary conenction that I had with the GF-45)
Yesterday, after installing the latest version of GFIT (3.8.2.0) with the BBJ fix, and starting it with a PMDG 737, I got an alert box, telling me that there is a device mistmatch with the number of devices, first with the GF-46 and then with the GF-45.
In both cases, I pressed "OK" instead of the recommended "Cancel", as I did not know how to fix that issue and wanted to test the GFIT in the BBJ.
Not surprisingly (I was warned!) the settings in my three T-8's got totally messed up and I spent over 2 hours, re-programming them last night.
This morning, I started a PMDG 747 and got the same alert message when I started GFIT. this time, I just cancelled the start of GFIT, as I don't want to spend another two hours, re-programming what I just re-programmed!
Steve, where and how do I tell GFIT that GF-45 and GF-46 have retired and are no longer relevant?
Thanks as always and take good care!

The warning is to stop you loosing the configuration data for those devices that you removed. I suspect that removing those devices has caused the order of everything else to change in Windows, so the configs moved to different devices of the same time. You can manually edit the xml files and change the devices numbers as necessary, instead of re-programming.
I have no control of those device numbers, GoFlight/Windows does all that.
Best wishes
Steve
I'll try. But I'll prepare a pot of coffee first!

One more question that popped into my head.
Is it possible to totally remove/uninstall GFConfig without affecting GFIT?
Thanks again
