MCP PRO stopped working

Hi all,
my Goflight Modules MCP PRO and LGT II worked well in MSFS 2020 until May11th. At this date I made a big Windows 10 update and updated also GIT for Version 4.4.1. If I start now MCP PRO I receive only a line of zeros in the displays, no other function. The lights on the status of GIT are all in green. What I noticed is that after every newstart of GIT I have to choose the Device and to enable it again. Even if I save my inputs with "Settings save". The LOG-File looks good, however I have a line stated "WinSock failed...". MCP PRO is connected directly on a USB2-Port on PC. Power management of USB-Ports is ok. I tried almost every solution stated in the guidelines as well in the forum. I tried also to go back to the former version of GIT.
Anyone can help me?? Thanks a lot and greetings from Switerland, Rudolf

  • Winsock failed means GIT cannot talk to FlightSimIOLua. Firewall may be blocking comms or Lua Config.txt does not have the correct entries.

Version 4.4.1 uses a WASM module, so make sure you can see a directory with pollypot in the name in your Community folder. IF not download the module from your account and unzip into the Community folder.

The last thing to check is to run Windows8Fixer (works with Windows 10). Details can be found in the readme file of GoFlights drivers/software.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve, many thanks for your answer. However it does not help: Pollypot is in the Community folder and WindowsFixer does not solve the problem. What is about Winsock problem: I desactivated Windows Firewall and started the program; Winsock mistake still comes up in the Log. Is it important to solve this problem and if yes, how? I forgot to mention that LGT II is still smooth running. Is it possible to create a conflict because I have also installed P3D with the Goflight modules on the same harddisk. As I wrote in my first mail, before May 11th I had no problems. Should I try go back to this version of GIT? Thanks for your help.

Do the MCP buttons and rotaries work?
  • Problem solved! Very strange solution: I changed connection from a USB2-Port to USB3 and it works.
