Setting up the Interface
Hi Steve, i have PMDG Interface and Go flight Interface -- The only jet i have is the PMDG 737 but i also run A2A Cherokee and A2A Skylane 182 . Would you come in to my rig and set these up with team view cause unless there is specific U-Tubes videos reading the manual is not always cut and dried for some of us =i'd just rather pay you and get it done with Louis

Steve
Thanks Steve for your prompt answer, I am in the cockpit of 757 and I changed of plane from 737 pmdg to QW 757 but the detective button is always unavailable and the three light are green
May be i do something wrong but what ?
Have you added the Goflight Interface Module.dll to your xml.dll file? Details are in the FAQ under the support menu.
Best wishes
Steve
Thanks Steve for your answer, I use GIT 2.1.10.0 with GF MCP Advanced autopilot GF TQ6, LGTB, GF 46, GF 166A T8 P8 et RP 48. your wonderfull GIT works perfectly with Boeing 737 PMDG.
I would to use it with QW Boeing 757, and I can't .
I have copied and pasted : launch addon ..........in dll.xmlI
I copied qualitywings 75;xml in the directory "Goflight Interface tool," with PMDG.
In this directory, I found 3 files :"PMDG" , "QualityWings75" and "dll"
Could you indicate a precise procedure to install QW757 because that is confuse for me and maybe for others Thanks for your understanding and have a good day
Alain
Hi Alain,
Is the Detective button now working? If not we need to resolve that issue first.
Assuming Detective is working ok, you just need to follow the steps in the first section of the FAQ (under the Support menu on this website) to import the files.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Steve,
no the detective button is not working
thanks
Alain
Hi Alain,
You cannot have installed the Goflight Interface Module.dll properly.
Follow these instructions carefully making sure you change the directory to match where you have installed GIT:

Hi Alain,
MY DOCUMENTS/GOFLIGHT/INTERFACETOOL/dll.xml is irrelevant. Delete it.
USER/ALAIN/APPLICATION DATA/ROAMING/MICROSOFT/FSX/dll.xml is the correct file. Assuming C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight\ is where you installed GIT everything looks OK.
Do you get or did you initially get a message about loading the GIT module when FSX starts? Are you in the Virtual Cockpit of the 757 before you check the Detective button?
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Steve,
before, I want to say : thank you for your patience and for your help. Today I leave my home for 3 days and I will contact you again for your direct action on my computer by you if you want.
The interface works very well with 737 pmdg, but I like too the 757 QW don't ask me why !
I have deleted dll of my documents
GIT is installed in program files 86\goflight
I don't see any message GIT when FSX starts
I am in the virtual cockpit
In my documents\GIT\ I ahave only QualityWings 75 and PMDG xml
I will contact you later and I thank you again
Have a nice and sunny day
Alain
Mike
Ok Mike. I'll email you over the weekend to set something up.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Alain,

I appreciate your excellent communication
Have a nice week
Alain
Hi Steve,
I am on an other computer in an other country, I have installed on only QW 757 and I can use Detective.
when I turn the rotate on my goflight PCP, I can change HDG, SPEED, COURSE etc on the display of the viortual cockpit, but on my goflight MCP Advanced nothing move on the display . I see 00000 What can I do.
That will be fabulous to have a manuel with the procedure step by step your's is complicate for me.
I thank you for your understanding
Have a nice day
Alain
Hi Alain,
The manual is step by step, although generic for all aircraft. You could download the QW757 pack from the downloads section and pick through the files for clues picking out the bits from the MCP PRO you would need for the MCP Advanced.
Also, review page 1 of the following thread as its shows lots of pictures in relation to using Detective although for another aircraft: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/forum.html#/discussion/143/a2a-c172-cherokee-c182-aircraft-specific-bespoke-events/p1

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your answ.
er, I am french my English is bad and you are a good specialist and I am not. I want to say thank you for your help but I have some difficulties to get that you do.
Today I vahe a computer, Windows R pro, FSX, Quality Wings 757 Goflight (software the last updated,) and GIT.
If I use only gofligt software for MCP Advanced and QW 752 I can't see HDG, VS ALT display and hold . My action on MCP is similar in the virtual cockpit for speed, course but not for HG VS and ALT
Could you help me step by step to use detective to get ALT VS AND HG activated on MCP and In the virtual cocpit.
I have not problem with the others components goflight gear, and toggle switches.
Only ALT, VS and HD display and hold switches bring a problem.
I have installe and uninstalled 50 times goflight and GIT the probleme persist.
I repeat : Golfight sofware and GIT are installed and dtective is actived
Thanks
Best regards
Alain
Hi Alain,
1 - Download the Quality Wings 757 zip file from the downloads section and unzip the contents.
2 - In Detective with the 757 loaded in FSX, click the import button and load the file QualityWings 75.xml. This will load bespoke events created by Mark Iannarelli.
3. Close Detective and go to the MCP tab.
4) Assign AUTOPILOT_HEADING_LOCK_DIR to the heading display.
5) Assign alt_sel_num to the altitude display.
It appears VS is not available.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your answer and for your patience, before answer I would check erverything and I am very dispointed I did that you recommand to do
At first when I import QW757 in detectice I have this error
Import has failed value cannot be null parameter name : S
If I close the program and if I repeat the operation, I can import
I entered the parameter for heading and alt but the problem is persisting
no moving display for hg and alt in the virtual cockpit
I don't understand because all is new and perfect
With the PMDG 737, impossible to have 0 for the speed the minimum stay at 100 knots and the display of my MCP is not synchronised only with PMDG. that unsable
Very dispointed
Thanks
Alain
Hi Alain,
I have built you an MCP Advanced config. It relies on the work done by Mark.
1 - Download the updated Quality Wings 757 zip file from the downloads section and unzip the contents.
2 - If you have not already done this, In Detective with the 757 loaded in FSX, click the import button and load the file QualityWings 75.xml. This will load bespoke events created by Mark Iannarelli.
3. Close Detective and go to the MCP tab. Click the Import button and select the QualityWings 75_GFMCP.xml file.
4) Shutdown GIT and reload it and everything should work OK. It does have its quirks like the altitude only displaying in certain situations, but its the best that can be done with the available lvars.
Best wishes
Steve
