Configuring a switch of a Goflight T8 Modul

Hello, can anybody give me detailed instruction (step by step) to program a switch for the PARKING BRAKES (Standard aircraft in
MSFS 2020)?

Many thanks for your help, Rudolf

  • Hello, better to set the parking brake to a button (P8) and toggle the park brake release/set events instead setting to a switch (T8), otherwise you have to syncronize park brake condition and switch position every time the aircraft is loading. Of course it is possible but a little bit more complicated. Do you have a GF toggle button available? Best regards Ralf
  • I agree, however you can do it two ways:
    - assign the event PARKING_BRAKES to both the ON and OFF switch state. No Action needed.
    - assign PARKING_BRAKE_SET with a Custom Value of 0 for the OFF switch state and 100 (maybe 1) for the ON switch state.

You can use a Variable of BRAKE_PARKING_POSITION which is either 0 or 1 with a Action of ON and a value 1. This will also force the switch to sync in the sim.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • The second one is better as you can assign a status to the LED so it’s on when the brake is set and off when the rake is released.
