GIT with FSX and P3DV2 both installed
I know I've asked this question before but:
I've got FSX and P3Dv2 both installed, do I need to install both versions of GIT ( the P3D and FSX versions ) and if so should they both be installed to the Goflight (as reccomended in the install instructions) directory or will there be conflicts? It's confusing because no matter which version I have installed there are options to enable P3D and enable FSX in both versions?? The file sizes for the installers are different so apparently there is some difference between the two.
Also I've got the FSX simconnect installed to P3Dv2 for compatability for some aircraft if that matters.

Hi,
The only differences between the versions is that they are compiled against their own unique simconnect library. At various points FSX SE and Prepar3D did not have backwards compatibility with the SP2/Acceleration simconnect library.
If GIT for FSX works with all your versions of flight sim then you can simply use that - you are not gaining or losing any functionality.
You can install over the top, however keep in mind that installing multiple product specific versions of GIT results in shared files which when uninstalled will break the other installations if they are in the same directory.
Best wishes
