Cant find FBW events or lvars in detective

I believe I'm doing it correctly. Let the detective run for 60 seconds before doing anything else. Then hide the detected variables and events. Then, once done, take off and achieve level, managed flight and once again let detective run and then hide the detected events and variables. Finally, click the desired button in the cockpit after making sure the detective is set to show the variables and events only to find nothing revealed. Can anyone tell me why nothing is revealed? I've read the detective instructions over and over and still can't find any events or variables. Help is always appreciated.

  • You may have hidden the Event or Variable you want to track. If nothing is shown search the Hidden Events and Variables for something that may need to be unhidden.

  • Thanks Steve. Like I said, I've read and reread the instructions for the Detective but am still unable to find the variables and events. BTW, what kind of variable is an XMLVAR?
  • Answer ✓
If its for a specific function, its not unusual. For example, a lot of the default 747 functionality is not made available by the developer. Is anything appearing for various systems functionality?

    An XMLVAR is an lvar.
