Random Loss of displays when GIT is closed and opened

Hi I’ve installed the GIT software and have configured 3 x 166 a 46 and a LGT (and have more to install) there seems to be no consistent way of the Module’s to work/display even though they always show in the Status tab. By a mixture of repeatedly unplugging USB restarting GIT restating FS2020 they come to life and stay connected even if FS2020 is closed and reopened. if it was a one time setup that would be OK. But every time GIT is closed I end up unplugging USB’s Etc.

They are all connected separately to USB 2 direct to a new high spec computer on windows 11

  • The 166 and 46's are notorious for locking up. This is a GoFlight hardware issue and nothing to do with GIT. It's a case of trial and error to find a combination of ports, hubs and spreading the devices across them to minimise lock ups.

For me, I used multiple powered USB hubs spread across different USB controllers. Others recommend USB 3 even though GoFlight recommend USB 1.

Search this forum for all the various ways people have solved this problem as it appears different for each PC/setup.

    Best wishes
