GIT-XP 3.0.2.0 stops responding on exit from XP12
Hi Steve,
I upgraded to GIT XP 3.0.2.0 and since doing so, GIT always stops responding, i.e., I get the message the Program Not Responding message when I exit GIT at the end of using XP12, latest version. I get this message regardless of whether I quit GIT XP then quit XP12, or if I quit XP12 first and then quit GIT. Also, last night I was trying to program some events for latest ZIBO mode in XP12 and it did not save those changes on exit.
Any ideas on what might be causing this problem?
Thanks!
Rich Boll

I would like to send the Log file in for Steve's review. Where is this located?
Thanks,

Thanks Steve,
Will do! Will report the log files.
Here's what I put into the GIT XP shortcut icon/properties under Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight Interface Tool X-Plane\GoFlight Interface Tool X-Plane.exe" /log
I started XP12 and then GIT XP. Flew XP12 around awhile, then I quit GIT XP first. I got the same "Not Responding" message along WIN 10 "spinning mouse wheel". Final WIN 10 asked me if I wanted to shut the program down. I did. I check for log files in "Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool" and in XP12 plugins folder. No log files in either location.
Would it help if I completely deleted GIT from my computer? What are the steps to do a complete removal of GIT. I have GIT for both XP and MSFS.
Thanks!
Rich
I did find the GIT log in the main XP12 folder. Sorry about that. The file is attached, but it doesn't provide many clues.

Tried another flight. Same thing. GIT XP would not close and would not respond. I actually let it run all night to see if it would close. It never did. I had to Task Manager to get it to close.
Thanks,
Rich
Thx
Steve
Will do and will report back!
Rich
I deleted the Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool folder. No change in behavior. GIT XP still does not close when you click the "X". It still is not responding.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Rich
II did find a log file in my Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool folder. That file is attached. When started GIT, it looked good, but nothing in there from the shutdown part.
I reverted back to GIP XP 3.0.1.0 and had no issue with GIT closing on shutdown. Is there any reason for me to use ver 3.0.2.0?
Thanks!
Rich
I was wondering if you have had a chance to look into this issue that I am having on shutdown of GIT XP? Could it be AV problem? My Norton AV interfering with some shutdown process?
Thanks!
Rich Boll
Best wishes
Steve
Wanted to let you know that I did get your email and this notice. I just have not had time to test the new software. Doing it now. Thanks!

Sorry to be pain in the rumpus, Steve! Thank you so much for your help!

Also, check you have the correct GIT plugin installed. Should be dated November this year.
Also, do you have plenty of disk space on C: drive.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Been busy with non flight sim stuff.
My plugin is dated 11/12/2023.
I did set my Norton to exclude my flight sim folders, but let me make sure that all the GIT folders are excluded. I'll keep trying to chase this down. It's more a nuisance than anything else.
Thanks again!
Rich
