Switch status

Hi Steve

Is there a way to know the physical position of say a t8 toggle switch via command? Looking for way to get position so lights and other vars can be set initially?

Thanks
Terry

  • Hi Terry,

GIT looks at the assigned variables for LEDS when first started and executes the relevant assigned On/Off event to synchronise the hardware with the sim. If this isn't working, can you provide an example for me to look at.

    Thx

  • Hi Steve

I have one switch that activates a fuel pump and a second switch that selects between the main and backup pump. The led for both switches are driven by a fuel pressure var. The event driven by the second switch has no effect if it is changed before the first switch is activated but I would like to know the position of the second switch when I turn on the first. I guess I could use a set of bespoke vars to do this but I thought maybe the goflight SDK might have a command that reported the switch positions?

    Thanks

  • Hi Terry,

The Goflight SDK knows nothings about flight sim. All it knows is about Goflight hardware and its state. GIT knows about the hardware and flight sim and links them together. If you drive the LED's by suitable conditions, GIT will handle the syncing of the hardware to flight sim. Give me more details so I can understand better.

    Best wishes

    Steve
