Unsure how to calibrate TQ6 with thrust reverse

Hi,

I have troubles getting the thrust reverse to work reliably. They do do not engage all the time, and are disengaged suddenly. I believe this could be caused by the C and D axis jittering.

From the support menu on the website I see a document about calibrating the TQ6 axis through FSUIPC and under "old documents" the guide to calibrate using GIT. Does this mean that you recommend to use FSUIPC, and not to use GIT?

When using GIT, the Axes Config dialog, I try to set the lower Limits slider and the NullZone slider but they don't seem to "stick": when I switch to the other throttle axis and back, the sliders are at their original position. So how should I use the dialog to make sure that my throttle axes report "idle" all the time when they are in the lowest position?

Thanks!

-Emile.

  • Hi Emile,

The FSUIPC document was written before GIT provided joystick support. Its entirely up to you which method you use.

Whenever you make changes for an Axis, you must remember to click the Calibrate button to save the changes.

    Best wishes

    Steve
