  • Hi Jim,

I would hope to have a beta version out within 7 days. It will not have any Detective functionality though - that will be added later; probably within the following couple of weeks.

  • Ok great thanks for the update.

  • This is fantastic, can't wait.

I complained to Philip from the XPX dev team at Flightsim con about total lack of Goflight support and now you come through with this. Everything up til this point has been piecemeal or unsupported after a short time.

They just recently opened up XPX so you can read stuff across a network too as with simconnect, what method are you using to hook into the XPX datarefs?

  • Hi,

GIT is using pipes and shared memory to communicate with a plugin I've written. Just ironing out all the kinks in GIT and a beta will be out very soon.

  • Don't know if you saw this in the new 10.40 Beta, might make a XP detective a lot easier:

    • ANY App can now send in the string (by UDP, to port 49,000) “RREF” plus a dataref, and X-Plane will then send that dataref string, and its value, BACK TO THAT IP ADDRESS EVERY FRAME!  So, we can get unlimited datarefs from X-Plane with no UI needed! So, just write your own map or external visual or other app and have it send the dataref requests to X-Plane, and X-Plane will send those datarefs right back to you with their values! Now, you can write an App to get any data you like from X-Plane, easily, with no configuration needed from the user!THIS lets you write any App you can imagine, that can EASILY interact with X-Plane by UDP!

  • Cant wait to try it with flyjsim 727/732,
  • It won't have any Detective support initially. It will only support standard xplane commands and datarefs initially. The next version will have Detective like support enabling custom datarefs, commands and Bespoke Events.

(Its been a much bigger job than I expected!)

  • Beta version for X-Plane now available on the GIT product page.
