GIT

Hi Steve I have tried to work the interface with no success for hours, I am at my wits end. I have been using L D 767 for years but when I changed my system I couldn't get the MCPPRO, EFIS, MESM to work so I gave it up. I have another 6 GF modules also not working. I have PMDGs 747,MD11and 737NGX. installed so I wanted to use 737-800 but find I cant get any modules working. The interface tool has everything grey but the Status, Settings and Log, from the right a solid red light then a green one then a flashing red. I really don't know ware to go next is it possible for you to take over my system and repair the problem as I really don't have a lot of computer no-how. If not can you point me in the right direction as I am totally be-mused. Sorry for the long message  this is my first one.

Kind Regards

Bill

  • Hi Bill,

I can login into your system, but I won't be able to do so until Thursday.

In the meantime uninstall the Goflight drivers and install this version:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/txy23id0n7nqbck/GFConfigSetup_2_25_2.zip?dl=0

Make sure you have downloaded the correct version of GIT for your flight sim and install it into the same directory as the GoFlight drivers, normally c:\program files (x86)\GoFlight.

This should fix the status lights showing red (yellow or green lights are fine). The tabs will not become un-grayed until the flight sim is in sim mode, i.e. the virtual cockpit or 2D aircraft panels are visible.

Let me know how you get on.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Hi Steve I think iv downloaded the update ok but still have a little trouble with the MCP the knobs turn the functions on the screen but don't turn the dials on the MCP the remain at 0000 or 000 the F/D and the A/T are fine but the buttons don't work. About the other modules how do I program them to a particular switch or button or are the already per-programed. Have you any thoughts on that please

    Regards

    Bill

  • Hi Bill,

See the FAQ under support regarding the displays being zero (its probably due to your default flight being the NGX - set it to be the trike).

You need to follow the steps in the user guide under support for the other devices. There are examples for the NGX. If you are still struggling, give me an example of something you want to setup and I will give you the settings e.g. the strobe switch.

  • Steve

Iv searched for two days and cant find a definitive answer to the panel lights not functioning also I cant find how to set the module clocks, if it is there im missing it. Im all but there I just cant find the items under support, I apologise for keep coming back and taking your time up.

  • Sorry Bill, I missed your post.

Do the lights work OK when GFConfig is used?

What do you mean by module clocks?

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Hi Steve

Been away  for a few days, the lights on the GFConfig are all green, when I use the Knobs and switches on the MCPPRO they work on the simulator, but not on the MCPPRO module all  the windows  are 0000 or 000 or ---0. the EFIS seems to work also. Sorry when I said module clocks I meant modules such as my GFT8,GFP8, GF46, etc. I cant find how to program them to work.

  • Hi Bill,

    What aircraft are you using?

    Thx

    Steve

  • Hi Steve

im trying to use PMDG 737 800

  • Hi Bill,

Have you changed your default flight back to the trike. If not you need to do this. Selecting the NGX with just a different livery whilst the NGX is the default flight will cause the PMDG SDK to glitch and not update the displays.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Hi Steve

Finally got my internet back on line, yes I do have the trike on default and when I change aircraft the dials on the MCPPRO do not move but the dials on the sim do. Also still cant get my modules to function.

    Regards

    Bill

  • Hi Bill,

The modules need to be configured, examples are in the user guide.

Let me logon to your machine again. Earliest I can do it is Thursday afternoon.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Hi Steve, That would be great, how does 2 pm Thurs  suit
  • Hi Steve Ready when you are
  • In case anyone reads this thread looking for the solution to the problem of the zero displays, it turned out to be a security issue. GIT and FSX needed to be run as administrator. The FAQ has been updated to reflect this as a valid option to resolve the issue.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve

Struggling to get individual modules synchronised I can get some functions to work but not all. Cant seem to find all light  functions etc. for P8,T8 and RP48 also are the functions already in the GF46. MCPPRO, EFIS GF-TQ6,GF-LGT,ATC  and MESM are working fine.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Bill,

List a few things you are trying to do I will give you the config details.

    Thx

    Steve

  • I'm trying to put lights on P8  i.e. inside dome and panel lights, Nav, strobes, beacon etc. and trying to put other lights on T8 i.e. Land Lights T/O Lights, Taxi ,I Nose etc. I haven't a clue what to put on my RP48  and other P8, I just cant see things that will work on them, im sure its me though. I'm not even sure if they are the right modules for the functions stated.
  • Bill,

I'll try and look at this for you after xmas.

    Best wishes

    Steve
