Error on saving

Hello Steve

Happy New Year!

I just tried to enable joysticks and when I tried to save I got the error as shown in the attached clip. I restarted GFIT and when I close I get the same error. The log entry I get When trying to save settings are

11:29:07 ViewModel Property Change Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

  • Hello Steve As an update to my post above, I have found what caused the error. One of my control setups is a thrustmaster warthog stick and throttle pluse a thrustmaster mfd. I run a thrustmaster program called Target which will let you combine one or more of their devices into a virtual pc control device which is recognized like any other joystick type device in simulations and GFIT. Target also has extensive programming features that make it very useful. When I first had the GFIT save error was using a target generated device with all three stick, throttle and mfd. I tested by creating different Target setups with different combinations of devices. What I found was that GFIT worked (at least through the enable joystick step) for Target devices with the throttle and mfd but not with any device which included the stick and another one. I think it probably has something to do with the number of buttons but I am just guessing. Is there an easy change to GFIT to clear the error? When doing this testing, I did a lot of enabling joysticks and then looking at the settings file to see what happened. As a result I have some suggestions as to how the joystick enable works that I will put on another thread. Thanks Terry
