TQ6 - Spoiler Config
Hi Steve,
I have a perplexing problem and perhaps you (or another reader) may have a suggestion or an answer. Using FSX, the PMDG 777 , and the PMDG Interface Tool(Ver 2.1.18.9) under Win7.
I have a TQ6 Throttle (modified to a TQ6ADV). It has worked without problems since day one. However since installing the most recent PMDG 777 update (Build: 1.10.7025) a few weeks ago I have been unable, despite numerous attempts, to calibrate the spoiler arming point. Following the instructions in "Configuring the GF TQ6 Axis for the PMDG NGX using FSUIPC", all the TQ6 axis assignments (throttles, flaps, spoiler) function correctly except for spoiler arming. For some unknown reason, configuring the spoiler indent for arming has been unsuccesful. The lever moves in the sim, but beyond the arming point. (The spoiler will arm using the keyboard shift+/ combination.)
Ideas, suggestions are welcome,
Claude

Hi Claude,
If you are using FSUIPC for your TQ6 and have the device disabled in GIT then GIT has no effect on it whatsoever. Something else has changed - try recalibrating it.
Best wishes

HI Steve,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, something has changed and I'm trying to pinpoint it. I'm not sure if the TQ6 is disabled in GIT so I will check. This does raise another question. Which is "better", calibrating the TQ6 using GIT or using FSUIPC? It's time for me to re-read the GIT User Guides. Will keep you post on my progress.Claude
Hi Steve
Just realized I can not use GIT to try calibrating the TQ6 until you release Ver 2.1.18.10 to include the missing 777X TQ6 events list.

Thanks Steve,
It works! I've successfully calibrated the TQ6 using the new version. (Although I do need to redo the flaps to position the lever exactly with the notches. With AXIS_FLAPS_SET only, it jumps from 20 to 30.)
