Q400 EFIS confusion

Hello again
I recently added the EFIS to my MCP Pro and am a little bit confused, I have had the EFIS working with pdmg777 but nothing with the Q400.
I have used detective to import the Q400 file and here starts my question, when going to the mcp pro tab it is disabled, in the dropdown box I select Device 0 and import the mcp pro file, its the same with the EFIS and in the dropdown box it also shows device 0, is this how it should be? I am only asking despite numerous attempts I am getting nowhere and my luxuriant head of hair is rapidly diminishing.
in the log I am getting a lot of this
10:14:49 SimConnect: Exception Received:  UNRECOGNIZED_ID

Thanks for any advice

  • Select the device and then select enable.if its not enabled nothing will happen even if you imported the file ok. You can ignore the simconnect error. Lots of threads on that

  • Ok, so they are both device0, I did as you said but got nowhere, all ok with 777 so I know it works. I'll do a video when I get a chance so you can see what I am doing wrong. Thanks

Don't get confused by the device0, that is just for devices of the same type; so if you had 2 EFIS one would be device0 and the 2nd one would be device1.

If you really just can't make my profile to work PM me here and I'll see if  we can do a teamviewer to get you up and running . Sounds like an easy fix.

  • Steve thanks for the very kind offer, however currently very giddy!
I just removed all related software, removed remaining folders and cleaned registry and tried again and it works :-) I have no explanation but am delighted.

    thanks again
  • Good to hear
