EFIS idea- Lights and Landing Gear
Not much use for the 2 3-position switches on the EFIS when flying a Heavy (in my case the IXEG-737). So I re-purposed these switches for Lights and Landing gear. Helps to reduce workload without a co-pilot.
Left switch up: Inboard landing lights on. Ensure strobes are on. Ensure TCAS TA/RA on. Ensure transponder Auto or On. So flip up for takeoff and flip up when descending below 10K. You still flip on outboards manually if necessary on final approach.
Left switch off from up: Inboard and outboard landing lights off.
Left switch down: Taxi lights on. Runway turnoff lights on. Ensure strobes are off. Ensure transponder Auto or On. Ensure TCAS TA/RA disabled.
Left switch off from down: Taxi lights off. Runway turnoff lights off.
Right switch up: Landing gear up
Right switch off from up: Landing gear off
Right switch down: Landing gear down
Right switch off from down: Nothing
