  • Need to figure out under what circumstances IAS is blanked out. I think possibly just vnav But not 100% certain?

  • There is some weirdness with button lighting too. Not just a 0 or 1 as on every other aircraft, its a decimial that seems to change based on time of day and cockpit lighting levels. Please let me know if you encouter issues with button lighting

  • Thanks for your work Steve.
Had to unpack rar and repack as a zip to get it to be recognised by the detective to find it.
  • Oops I'll correct that in the next version thanks for pointing that out

  • Steve

Regards circumstances for IAS blanked out.

First of all i should clarify i did not try modeling the 757 on the goflight mcp myself and haven't seen what this aircraft programming datarefs/commands is all about yet.

I just wanted to point out that the avionics on the 757 are more complex than the ones found on the 737 classic.  The 757 supports vnav speed intervention. This means while vnav IS still engaged you may enable IAS display and control speeding there overriding the fmc.

    So i would say
    no vnav = ias active
vnav and no speed intervention = ias blanked out
vnav and speed intervention = ias active

    On the 737 classic, vnav=enabled=noIASdisplay / vnav=disabled=IASdisplay active
  • Funny that now that I picked up working on this again and almost finished her that version 2.0 of the 757 was announced this week !

I'll hold off on releasing the final until I can see what datarefs if any have changed in the new one.

  • sounds a wise decision to me :)

Just purchased the 757 Version 2, it is NOT compatible with this profile. Don't attempt to use it, I'll have to make a new one for V2 :/

Here is the latest version that will work with V1, do what you will with it as I am starting on a new version for V2. Everything should be working except IAS blanking.

  • Very grateful for the work you have done for us, thank you.
Yea, tried it for v2 and came unstuck in big way.

  • Thankfully most of the datarefs are the same so it's just a matter or reprogramming everything and figuring out the 3 or 4 bits that are different.
